Willow

New Arrival

Willow Update  4/13/2024

Willow now weighs 75 pounds! She has gained thirteen pounds since early March. She still has more to gain but she was healthy enough to receive her vaccinations today.

She will be spayed and have the mass removed in the next couple of weeks.

Intake, March 3,2024

Her rescuer chose the name Willow.
Like the Willow tree, she will grow and prosper despite unfavorable conditions.

In late January Willow was found scared and starving in an orchard in Southern California.
Assuming she recently whelmed a litter the area was searched for puppies but none were found.

After a month of food and care she weighs 62 pounds. She is still underweight. She has a mammary gland mass.
She will see the vet in one month and if healthy enough she will be vaccinated.
Then in the future spayed and mass removal.
She is two years old.

All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and micro chipped before being placed. Completed application, vet reference and a home check required. We do NOT ship or fly rescues as it’s too stressful on them. For additional information please email yvette@ddbrescue.org

Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue is a foster based, all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit charity dedicated to rescuing neglected and abandoned Dogue de Bordeaux, rehabilitating and re-homing them into loving forever homes in the continental United States.
