In late January of 2024 Willow was found scared and starving in an orchard. She appeared as if she recently had puppies, the area was searched for puppies but none were found. After a month of food and care she weighed 62 pounds. She was still very underweight. Willow was very timid and skidish. Her foster mom took it slow and let Willow choose the pace for being touched or handeled.
By mid April Willow weighed 75 pounds! She was healthy enough to receive her vaccinations and have a mammary mass removed. She began to trust more people and be less timid to new new people and situations.
Fast forward, her vetting is complete, she is at a healthy weight , 85 pounds and she is ready to for her own family. Willow needs a patient and loving family with a quiet household and another dog. Willow has elbow dysplasia and will occasionsly limp if too active.
Willow likes to play with toys, stroll through the local Lowe’s but is your basic couch potato Bordeaux. She likes to lay in the sun.
