Bear and two female Dogue de Bordeaux lived outside. No dog house or kennel, just outside. He had never been on a leash, been taken for a car ride or cared for by a veterinarian. Bear, we believe he is two years old. Having only lived outdoors it was very challenging to transition to living indoors and being part of a family. Bear quickly learned to cool off by laying on top of the central air vent. He has learned to walk on a leash and is crate and house trained. Bear is dog friendly. We do not know how he is with cats or small children.
All rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and micro chipped before being placed. Completed application, vet reference and a home check required. We do NOT ship or fly rescues as it’s too stressful on them. For additional information please email info@ddbrescue.org
Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue is a foster based, all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit charity dedicated to rescuing neglected and abandoned Dogue de Bordeaux, rehabilitating and re-homing them into loving forever homes in the continental United States.
