Paris

Adopted
Update 7/24/24
Paris has found her forever family.
Paris spent five weeks at a shelter waiting for someone to adopt her before we were asked to help. Prior to her family surrendering her to the shelter Paris was kept crated most of the time and had little exercise or play time. Paris is high energy and that combined with a lot of stress in the last few months has left her noticeably underweight, otherwise, she is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm and valley fever tests were
negative. Paris rides well in the car, she likes to look out the windows. Paris loves being with people, and has shown no fear of new people or things, and she is very inquisitive.
Paris knows a variety of commands/behaviors such as Sit, Down, Dance, Place (go into her kennel). She is working on Watch Me, Go Potty, and Come.
Paris is kenneling fine to her crate and sleeps great through the night. Paris has been excellent for grooming & bathing, ear cleaning, and nail trim with a nail clipper; she loves playing with toys and being a goof, and is definitely an active dog and would do well in a home where is kept busy and active. .
She enjoys playing with all sorts of toys, a stuffed toy owl being one of her indoor favorites. Outside she has gotten more used to the pool’s baja deck, but hasn’t yet swam. She has retrieved balls, a frisbee, a chuck-it floating duck diver toy, and other objects.
Paris loves to be in the house and will immediately be self-entertaining with toys, but always curious what the humans are doing. Paris does great with the three cats in her foster home. Paris was raised with children. She is not good with other dogs. Paris is petite and weighs 65 pounds

All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and micro chipped before being placed. Completed application, vet reference and a home check required. We do NOT ship or fly rescues as it’s too stressful on them. For additional information please email marie@ddbrescue.org

Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue is a foster based, all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit charity dedicated to rescuing neglected and abandoned Dogue de Bordeaux, rehabilitating and re-homing them into loving forever homes in the continental United States.
