Little Nolan

Adopted

Little Nolan, now called Roland has been adopted by his foster family!

Little Nolan, eight weeks old, was surrendered to a shelter along with his three year old mother and two year old father, Boo Radley who also under the care of Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue. Nolan’s mother was helped  by another  rescue organization and is living in South Carolina. She had mastitis but responded well to treatment.  Both parents were high heart worm positive. All three dogs were malnourished and suffering from heat exhaustion. Nolan’s eight litter mates perished before they arrived at the shelter.

Nolan weighed seven pounds upon intake and after a week of several small meals a day and treating is intestinal parasites he is now at eight and a half pounds. On average a eight week old Dogue de Bordeaux pup weighs 15-20 pounds. Nolan also had a respiratory infection that was treated with antibiotics.

Due to Nolan’s current health we are not accepting adoption application for him at this time. Once he becomes healthy he will  be adopted by his foster family.

All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and micro chipped before being placed. Completed application and reference/home check required. We do NOT ship or fly rescues as it’s too stressful on them. For additional info on any of the dogs in this region, please email Pam@ddbrescue.org
