Update 10/15/24
Champ has been adopted.
Champ is a 1-2 year old male mix and has been in foster care for about 2 months. He was found in a Las Vegas neighborhood after people witnessed him being pushed out of a truck. He was on his own for several days before being captured. His first foster home got him healthy and up-to-date on vaccines and neutered; he stands about 23″ at the withers and approximately 82 pounds.
Champ has been in his new foster home in AZ for about 10 days and is doing great. He sleeps and eats in his crate very well; we are working on the whining in the crate and on waiting to leave the crate. He has shown great dog etiquette with the other dogs in his foster home and got along well with previous foster’s dogs right from the start. He has noticed the cats but has not shown any high prey drive to run at them, he has sniffed them in close proximity and neither has shown fear or aggression. Champ walks well on leash with just a buckle collar but needs work on staying on one side. He already knows sit, and shake with both front paws; he loves playing with an assortment of toys, balls being his favorite, and LOVES swimming. He is a happy dog that likes to cuddle and get hugs, and is fond of both human males and females, but has shown a slight preference for men.
