Luna

This beautiful, petite girl weighing just 75 pounds is Luna. Luna is extremely sweet and loves to be with people.

In mid March of 2023 a very pregnant Luna was found as a stray. Luna had several puppies and stayed with them until it was time for them to go to homes of their own. In late May of 2023 Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue was asked to take Luna into our care. We estimate that Luna is three years old upon intake making her four now.  Once in our care Luna was spayed and had soft palate surgery, she was chocking every time she drank water. Luna suffered heart damage from a heartworms infection. She now test negative for heartworms but does have an enlarged heart. In June of 2024 Luna was evaluated by a cardiologist after collapsing. We do not know why she collapsed. Luna takes medication for seasonal allergies, an underactive thyroid and has taken medication for anxiety in the past.

Luna was adopted by her foster family in December of 2024. She has not had additional health concerns.
