Lucy was ADOPTED!

Hi my name is Lucy, I came to DDBR through no fault of my own. I am a very sweet and shy gal. I lived with another dog and I would prefer to go to a home with another dog so I have someone to show me the ropes. I liked to chase cats, so I can’t live with a cat. I love kids and am very sweet with them but can be a bit protective of them so my new owner needs to keep that in mind. I am also very protective of my house and I bark when I see anyone outside of my home. So this needs to be addressed when new people come to visit me. I am a bit shy upon meeting new people and I really prefer women over men. I am house broken and am a very good girl about going outside to potty.  I absolutely do not like to be put in a crate and prefer not to be separated from my family. I love attention and for someone to scratch me. I also love going for walks but I do pull on the leash so we are working on that. I am gentle with taking food from your hand. The vet says I am in good health although sometimes a have a limp however, I was cleared and said to be fine. A home without stairs would be best since stairs tend to be hard for me.  I have been spayed, am up to date on my shots, heartworm negative, and I have a microchip.
