Memorial for Reba

1/3/2014 – 5/12/2020

Reba passed over the Rainbow Bridge following complications from a
heart tumor May 12, 2020.
This petite girl came to me through the Dogue De Bordeaux rescue on
12/7/2015. She was the poster child for keeping faith in humanity;
despite her rough two years as a breeder for a backyard hack, to being
dumped along a highway, to overdosing on cannabis, to finding her way
into a Humane Shelter that refused to return her to her “owners”, then
to a wonderful woman in rescue that treated her for heartworm disease,
to me – she never ever showed any aggression to strange people or
animals. Reba enjoyed sniffing the horses, protecting the cats,
looking to Roc for confidence, sleeping on the furniture, and wearing
my good smelling lotions and perfumes (not all of them were acceptable
to her!).
Reba participated in PKC Obedience and Agility classes and Outreach
programs with children and adults. She loved to go for rides but was
leery of leaving the car; she eventually learned to trust us and
enjoyed going for walks in state parks, along lake MI, and assorted
areas around Green Bay. She leaves behind her best pal Roc who no
longer has anyone to sit on, and her humans who miss giving her belly
rubs several times a day, and an assortment of human friends who have
cared for her during my trips. My friend Deb summed her up wonderfully
when she called Reba a beautiful soul…I sincerely hope there is a
Rainbow Bridge…😊
