Herman in DeKalb IL
Herman is a senior male that came into DDBR on borderline kidney failure. After many months of special meds and diet, we are delighted to report that Herman kidney tests show he is now in the normal range, but the other blood work shows he is now hyperthyroid, which is very typical for a dog his age. He is doing very well on medication ($20 for 3 months for his kidney’s and about the same for his thyroid!!!) and Science Diet Senior. Herman is wonderful with female dogs, but not ok with male dogs. Herman loves to do the “Happy Dance” for food and treats and is a bit excitable so a home with children over 10 would be best for him. His ideal home would have someone who stays or works from home as Herman does need to go out several times a day because of his kidney issues. Is Herman the right dog for you? He is a dapper older gentleman who would flourish in a home of his own!
If you think you may be the perfect forever home for one of our rescue dogues, please complete our on line adoption application www.ddbrescue.org. If you have any questions about this dogue, please contact Pamela at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and micro chipped before being placed. Completed application and reference/home check required. We do NOT ship or fly rescues as it’s too stressful on them
