Gus is a young boy located in PA. He was rescued from a rural NC shelter. He was time stamped for euthanasia. The staff at the shelter was afraid of him. He had not eaten in days at the shelter. Someone reached out to us on behalf of the shelter and thankfully one of our volunteers and past adopter, our volunteer was able to get there quickly to evaluate him. By the end of the hour she spent with him he was getting belly rubs:) We recently had a new volunteer want to foster and when he heard the story there was no doubt in his mind he wanted to help this boy. Both of our volunteers each drove quite a distance to make sure this boy was pulled out of the shelter and into a safe foster home. Gus is now living with our new foster home in PA and probably will not be leaving, likely to be a foster failure!
If you are that someone special that can open your home to a wonderful boy please go to our website and complete our on line adoption application www.ddbrescue.org. If you have any questions about this dog please contact Marie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and micro chipped before being placed. Completed application and reference/home check required. We do NOT ship or fly rescues as it’s too stressful on them.
Donations are needed to help with our medical expenses. There are many special needs dogues in the program. Your tax deductible donations are greatly needed and appreciated.
