Duke in IL

Duke was all set to go to his new forever home on Sunday June 15. He got up in that morning, romped in the yard, ate breakfast, played in the pool, had a great time with his buddy Storm, then laid down to take a nap and didn’t wake up. Devastated is an understatement.

Duke has an adoption pending! Looks like Storm is going to be adopted with him. We are THRILLED beyond words!!!!! Duke was just diagnosed with a tumor on his heart, the vet prognosis was not great, but said he should still have a few months. The adopters STILL wanted him…..

Duke is located near DeKalb, IL. Nine year old Duke is a great, big, bear of a dog. Cuddly and happy his personality is that of a much loved dog. He is easy going and totally loveable. He loves his walks and stuffed animals and he especially loves Storm (the older female ddb in foster care with him). He would make a great addition to any family, but especially to a senior that wants loving companionship.
